Patient’s best friend
06/04/2017Learn about PVC in healthcare in new information leaflet
02/06/2017More than 500 delegates from over 35 countries gathered in Brighton last week for the triennial PVC conference. Throughout the three days, participants learned about everything from PVC processing over additives to social media, which was the topic of PVCMed Alliance Project Manager Ole Grøndahl Hansen’s presentation. The presentation included concrete examples of PVCMed Alliance’s activities on Twitter and other social media platforms.
Ole Grøndahl Hansen noted how social media can enhance conference participation and that tweets and posts on LinkedIn are very cost-effective ways to communicate to a wide range of target groups. However, Ole Grøndahl Hansen stressed that traditional communication tools such as brochures are by no means irrelevant. Social media should simply be seen as an addition to the communication toolkit.
