Healing architecture with PVC flooring
07/11/2017Four new plasticisers now added to the European Pharmacopeia
22/01/2018PVCMed Alliance spent two whole days at the world’s biggest medical fair in Düsseldorf, Medica. We had the opportunity to visit a lot of exhibitors to get an update on what is happening in the world of medical applications, namely PVC-based medical devices. Our key findings from the fair are:
- Plastics are key to modern healthcare. Polymers are in one way or another present at every stand at Medica, be it single-use medical devices, diagnostic equipment etc.
- PVC dominates because of quality and price.
- Phthalates are being substituted in order to live to the new EU Medical Device Regulation.
We look forward to next year’s fair!
We are at Medica. The first stand we visit is an Israeli compounder. “PVC is king in medical” he says. A good start at #Medica2017 pic.twitter.com/sJSMVb5D4a
