Exposanità is Europe’s second largest healthcare exhibition with nearly 30,000 visitors, over 700 exhibitors and hundreds of workshops and sessions. PVCMed Alliance was heavily represented at the exhibition – in person and on social media.
PVCMed Project Manager Ole Grøndahl Hansen held a presentation on PVC in healthcare in one of the many sessions, which are central to Exposanità. The session, ‘Costruire per la sanità,’ was organised by PVC Forum Italy.
In his presentation Ole stressed the importance of PVC in healthcare – not only in medical devices, but also in hospital interiors. In his presentation he showed two videos produced by PVCMed Alliance. First, a translated version of the animation video ‘The Curious Patient’, which has recently received accolades from PlasticsToday. He is now known as ‘Il Paziente Curioso.’
Secondly, he showed a short video on vinyl in hospitals, based on a colourful PVCMed booklet that also was available at PVC Forum Italy’s stand as well as the session. To accommodate the Italian audience, the slides for Ole’s presentation were in Italian and the animation video was also subtitled.
Ole’s presentation did not stand alone, however. PVCMed tweeted a lot from Exposanità, mainly covering the wide range of PVC-based medical applications exhibited at the fair. All tweets can be seen on our Twitter profile. You can also check out our Instagram and Facebook pages for Exposanità-related posts.

A number of video interviews with different stakeholders in the PVC medical value chain were also taped, which will be available here and on Youtube in the coming weeks.
